Dear Friends, The Peoria region is at an important crossroad. With nearly $2 billion in capital projects under development, our area is experiencing a period of tremendous growth and excitement. As we look ahead, the ability for our community to leverage current achievements and enhance our competitive advantage will be dependent on having the right public and private leadership in place. That is why on October 2, 2006, I announced my candidacy for at-large representative to the Peoria City Council. As a Peoria native, local public service has long been an important priority in my life. In fact, the opportunity to contribute to the future of Peoria was the principle reason I chose to return home after graduating from the University of Illinois. |

a candidate for City Council, my campaign will focus on enhancing the
City of Peoria as the preferred place to live and do business. By embracing
economic development strategies that attract new businesses and residents,
the City will be enabled to forge partnerships that strengthen core
neighborhoods, ensure public safety, and encourage cooperation with
local schools. In short, a robust economy is the key to the City’s
